Atlanta Business Leader, David Moody, to Serve as Honorary Chairman of the ‘2022 Thrive Gala: An Evening of Hope and Inspiration’

ATLANTA, GEORGIA —The Younique Foundation is honored to announce that Atlanta business leader David Moody, owner of C.D. Moody Construction Company, will serve as honorary chairman of the inaugural “Thrive Gala: An Evening of Hope and Inspiration” set for Feb 26, 2022, at the Country Club of the South in Johns Creek.

Moody’s construction company has been a part of some of Atlanta’s elite projects, including Mercedes-Benz Stadium; the Ray Charles Performing Arts Center at his alma mater; Olympic Stadium at Turner Field, the Maynard Jackson International Terminal at Hartsfield Jackson Airport; and the new home of the Cyclorama at the Atlanta History Center, as well as over 100 others.

“I have dedicated much of my adult life giving back and investing in our youth. As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, I know first-hand the importance of protecting the most vulnerable, our children. It is an honor for me to support this great work of prevention and healing,” said Moody. “The Thrive Gala will raise valuable funds to support the national and global expansion of this critical work. More than 1 million children in the United States will be sexually abused this year alone. We must do everything within our power to save our children from this trauma.”

With the East Coast headquarters located in Alpharetta, Georgia, The Younique Foundation provides healing retreats, support groups, and online resources for adult survivors of child sexual abuse. It also provides online prevention resources and community education materials for parents and caregivers to reduce the risk of their children being impacted by abuse. All of the Foundation programs and services are provided free to the participants and 100% of all donations go directly to programs and services.

“I feel so privileged to have David Moody as our honorary chairman of the 2022 Thrive Gala,” said Deena Coughlin, event chair. “We have an amazing steering committee including some local celebrities who are dedicated to ensuring we raise the most funds possible so that we can impact the lives of individuals and families.”
