Matt is retired from the military. He spends his time rucking (the act of walking or hiking with a weighted backpack). Matt turned his passion into a way to support The Younique Foundation when he started posting his workouts on Facebook with the hashtag #YWeRuck, explaining that the weight in his backpack was a representation of the weight a survivor carries their entire life. Men and women from all over the world have started to ruck in support of survivors, all inspired by Matt’s example.
