The Utah State House of Representatives voted and passed S.B. 205, the Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Amendments. This bill ensures that K-6 students would receive appropriate and effective sexual abuse prevention education contracted by the Utah State Board of Education.

Nonprofit Serves 5,000th Survivor at Saprea Retreat
Saprea will mark an important milestone this week as it welcomes its 5,000th adult survivor of child sexual abuse at the Saprea Retreat. One in every four women is a survivor of childhood sexual abuse. These women often spend decades trying to overcome the trauma they endured as children. The Saprea Retreat is offered free of charge to adult female survivors who were sexually abused at or before age 18.

Saprea Partners with Service Women’s Action Network
Saprea and SWAN are working together to provide healing services to all service women and women veterans who have been impacted by child sexual abuse. This cooperative effort is also working to supply information and tools to parents and caretakers so they can protect the children of these heroes.
