The art of kintsugi

There is a Japanese philosophy called Kintsugi (pronounced kent-soc-ghee) which is the art of finding beauty in broken things. Kintsugi talks about breakage and repair becoming a beautiful part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise.

Kintsugi is a powerful metaphor for survivors of childhood sexual abuse - letting them know that despite their abuse, they CAN heal.
